Diamond City (known as Sugar Loaf in 1953), and previously known as Dubuque until its demise after the Civil War, was the last stop on the White River for northbound steamboats and is a popular site for water recreation. The White River, which forms Bull Shoals Lake, flows from the base of Bull Shoals dam.
It is especially famous for its rainbow trout fishing and many outfitters in the area provide guide service and rent boats and equipment. Historic Diamond City has lots to offer those looking to settle in an area for retirement or to build a vacation home in an uncrowded, quiet & friendly town close to the Lake.
Diamond City has a steady population of about 782 and sports a wonderful Marina and Dock for water recreation if you enjoy boating, fishing, floating or pontooning during the Summer months. Bull Shoals Lake surrounds the town on three sides with Lead Hill on the fourth. Bull Shoals is less than 2 miles from the residential land for sale and right across the land is the Diamond Hills Golf Course and; Country Club which is about 1/2 mile from the Land for sale near Lake!
